Rao’s homemade soup was created by an Italian immigrant in 1896 when he bought a pub in NYC. Upon becoming a popular spot for homemade southern Italian food, his family began selling it in jars. The
illustrations resembling lino-cut stamps, emphazing the hand-made nature of the soup, paired with
punchy colors (and a bold custom type) breathes life into Rao’s jars.
